1st, 2nd Term | Study Guide ("Management" tab) | Media Release Form | Digital Media Contract

Thurs., Jan. 5 through Fri., Jan. 13, 2012

Read Ch. 16 and 17 today while taking notes. I will check off your notes for a grade. Next class period (on Monday, January 9, 2012) will be our state test in this class. You may check out a textbook if you like. The rest of the time will be dedicated to completing late work and making up the test.

Tuesday, January 3, 2012

Today you will present your Planning Exercise assignment to the class, otherwise you'll get a zero on the assignment. Then you will need to read Ch. 16 & 17 and take notes for a possible test.

Thursday, December 15, 2011

Because most or you were not ready to present your Planning Exercise assignment to the class, I decided to give you this test instead (you are allowed to use your notes). Once you have finished, continue your work on the Planning Exercise assignment and be ready to present it by the beginning of class on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 (that's right, the day we return from the winter break). Since the due date has been extended, NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THIS ASSIGNMENT. If you do not present on that day you will get zero credit... NO EXCEPTIONS.

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Read Ch. 15, taking notes as always. When you are done you may continue working on the Planning Exercise assignment. You can expect a test on Ch. 10, 11 & 15 in the near future so read carefully.

Friday, December 9, 2011

Read Ch. 11, taking notes as always. When you are done you may continue working on the Planning Exercise assignment. You can expect a test on Ch. 10 & 11 in the near future so read carefully.

Wednesday, December 7, 2011

Today will be your only day in class to work on the Planning Exercise assignment. This assignment will require you to submit your work as a PowerPoint presentation that you will defend in class on Thursday, December 15, 2011.

Monday, December 5, 2011

Discussed Ch. 10 including the use of mindmapping and Gantt charts in preparation for the Planning Exercise assignment. Check back here for more notes on the lecture(s) to study for the test.

Tues., Nov. 29 through Thurs., Dec. 1, 2011

This week you were to read Ch. 10 about decision making. On Tuesday we did an in-class simulation called Lost At Sea as an individual and group exercise. On Thursday, I started talking about decision-making.

Mon., Nov. 21 through Wed., Nov. 23, 2011

First thing today is to take this test. Yes, you may use your notes on the test. When you have finished taking the test, TURN OFF your computer and start reading Ch. 8 while taking notes.

Thursday, November 17, 2011

I discussed Ch. 7 in class today covering things about International Trade like absolute advantage and the law of comparative advantage; balance of trade in regards to imports and exports; protectionism, tariffs, quotas, embargos; and the foreign exchange. I was going to test you this week but my test bank was corrupted. Plan on a test next Monday!

Tuesday, November 15, 2011

Please read Ch. 7 on International Trade using the 4 Square Notetaking Method or some other method for a future test (hint, hint).

Thurs., Nov. 3 through Mon., Nov. 7, 2011

The economy determines everything when it comes to business. As you read Ch. 6, we'll discuss some basic economic theory along with comparing it to current economic issues. There will be some classroom discussion in the next couple of class periods. Plus you will be required to complete a compare and contrast essay assignment that will be due by the end of class on Monday, November 7, 2011.

Tuesday, November 1, 2011

You should be reading Ch. 6 on Economics and be sure to take notes (you never know when I'll give you a test where you can use your notes). We will be discussing economics/supply and demand in class and this information is vital to this course and your future in business.
