Third Term:
Demonstrate a SHAPE and a MOTION TWEEN in class. This assignment is DUE on Monday, January 25, 2010.
Individual Flash animation assignment (submitted as BOTH a .fla file and .swf file). DUE on Thursday, February 4, 2010.
Portfolio assignment part one. DUE on Thursday, February 11, 2010.
Team video project or you can do an individual animation project. You must have the following completed and ready for grading:
- Storyboard due by Thursday, February 18, 2010 or before you start animating in Flash.
- Completed animation or game (BOTH .fla and .swf files) ready for showing/demonstration to the class by Monday, March 22, 2010.
- Evaluations (self evaluation is required if not in a group): Wednesday, March 24, 2010.
For the audio assignment you must have the following completed and ready for grading:
- Completed script is due by Friday, March 12, 2010 or before you start recording.
- Email (to: rathke@teacher.com) your completed audio program in .MP3 format (or .OGG, Ogg Vorbis) AND submit team or individual evaluation by Wednesday, March 24, 2010.
NOTE: The end of the third term is Thursday, March 25th, so no assignments will be accepted after Wednesday, March 24, 2010 so grading can be completed. There is no opportunity for late work with this assignment. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Fourth Term:
Part 1 of Graphic Short Story assignment (story outline and storyboard). DUE on Monday, April 19, 2010.
Part 2 of Graphic Short Story assignment (3 panels completed). DUE on Tuesday, April 27, 2010.
Part 3 of Graphic Short Story assignment (final book emailed in .epub or .pdf format). DUE on Tuesday, May 11, 2010.
Final portfolio assignment DUE on Thursday, May 13, 2010.
Design a logo for a client assignment DUE on Tuesday, May 25, 2010.

Multimedia is the process of planning, instructional design, and development. Multimedia
production is the second year multimedia course where students will focus on developing
advanced skills to create interactive computer applications using the elements of text, 2-D and 3-
D graphics, animation, sound, video, and digital imaging. These skills can prepare students for
entry-level positions and other occupational/educational goals.
